Location, location, location. This piece of real estate advice is also quite applicable for weddings. After all, the ceremony and reception venues set the mood for the entire event. For Elise and Chad, this was an easy decision to make. As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the Salt Lake Temple was an obvious choice for the ceremony. They had their first look photos against the Temple’s majestic facade and towering spires. Since they wanted an old Hollywood theme, their reception was held at a famous Salt Lake landmark: the Utah State Capitol. Its soaring ceilings, marble floors, and polished statues were the height of elegance. These locations were very suitable for the glamorous motif of ivory, grey, black and gold. Elise was stunning in an intricate gown with an ethereal, billowing skirt. Chad wore a classic tux with coattails, which was echoed by his groomsmen. The ladies of the wedding entourage wore floor-length ebony dresses. Check out the silver candlesticks that served as the table centerpieces. To cap the event, Elise and Chad had their photos taken with a vintage car, with the Utah night skyline as a backdrop. Take a page from their book and look for an elegant venue for your wedding.
