What do you do when a rainstorm decides to crash your dream outdoor wedding? Santana and Aaron didn’t break a sweat when a heavy downpour started on their special day. The couple just went with the flow and calmly moved the ceremony and reception to indoor venues. It helped that historical New Orleans is a picture-perfect wedding location in any weather. This wedding was beautiful in its simplicity, making use of traditional elements and incorporating the joyful vibe of New Orleans.
Santana’s family and close friends helped her look her best, and the ladies absolutely looked gleeful in matching floral robes. Santana glowed in a long ivory gown, and Aaron’s grin whenever he looked at his bride lit up the rainy day. The couple’s attire and their wedding cake were minimalist, but the Mardi Gras masks were a definite nod to the City of Jazz. Jasmine, their photographer, was able to capture some fun outdoor shots during breaks in the rain. I especially loved the shot of the couple dancing with a street band, looking into each other’s eyes while the music swirled around them. Here’s to more dancing together for this sweet couple!
