We Found Love At A Comic Store

It’s exciting when two people have a common interest. They always have a mutual ground that they can talk about. Christie and Douglas both love Star Wars, which became really interesting for the both of them. The couple met in summer 2010 through their friends and became engaged on September of 2014. A conversation is what made them instantly connected, because on their first date, all their date plans didn’t push through, just because they enjoyed talking to each other. They must really have a connection, a lot of same interests and appreciation for movies, that’s why the comic store was a perfect location for their engagement shoot.

A little story about their engagement: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is very significant to Christie and her family, that’s why she wanted to show Doug the place that has been filled with memories since before. On that trip, she was unaware that Doug himself was cooking something up that would make the best memory. The future groom shared a sentimental speech about the wonderful things Christie did for him over the years. Throughout his thoughts, he knelt down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. Of course, Christie said yes!

As you see in our gallery, they had good times at Fat Moose Comics and Games, picking out comic books and using them as props at the shoot. They also made use of cartoon figures and maximized whatever creative shot they can do with them. It was a simple set, yet it made a very meaningful memory. Take your inspiration from our future couple’s e-session! Best wishes, Doug and Christie!
